This animated anthology series features original stories set in the worlds of iconic video games. Video games have made their way onto the big screen, and we’re celebrating the genre by taking a closer look at over 50 adaptations of video games into films and shows. Clive Standen reprises his voice role as Demetrius Titus, the protagonist of the video game Space Marine 2.
They feel like rehearsals
Mentioned on the Film Junk podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024). The animation is beautiful, that’s for sure. It’s hard for me to get excited about episodes that are this short.
Both Reeves and Arnie give enjoyable performances
I can’t get completely into it because you know it’s over before you can connect with the characters. It was nice to see a few stars in action. For me, it’s all a bit too experimental and lacks depth.
The Pacman episode was okay
What’s more, if I had my choice of source material, I think I would have chosen a completely different set of games to worship. But it was a demonstration of artistic freedom taken to its absolute limits. At least it made me laugh.
